My name is Nicole McStravick and I started Pretty Peony Planning at the end of 2018 with a hope to help couples with the daunting task of preparing for their dream wedding. I have been in love with weddings since I was a little girl, who wasn't! I have been involved in helping people plan their weddings since planning my own. My mission is for you to have the perfect day you have always pictured with your spouse. Planning, details, and organization are my specialty. I will be here for you every step of the way. Making decisions is your first step, then leave the rest to me. My goal is for all the time leading up to your big day to be as stress-free as possible and for the day of to go without a hitch for you or your spouse. I serve all of CT, New England and beyond!
Weddings should be more about love and less about logistics
after years of working big-budget weddings with guest lists longer than CVS receipts, i noticed something that stuck with me: too many couples were counting down the hours until it was over. they were exhausted, overwhelmed, and going through the motions of a day that was supposed to be about them.
that didn’t sit right with me. so i built something different.
yeah good weddings is for couples who want their wedding to actually feel good. not stressful. not performative. not packed with things you were told you “should” do. just a day that feels honest, relaxed, and full of the people who matter most.
i believe a wedding should be one of the best days of your life — but never the only one. and it shouldn’t come at the cost of your sanity or your savings account. micro weddings give you the freedom to cut the production and keep the connection. they create space for meaning, conversation, and real joy — not just the posed kind for social media.
